A very rare set of twelve pairs of Victorian fruit knives
and forks, with plain silver blades and tines, and
bloodstone handles. It is most unusual to find a set with
bloodstone handles - typically, they were formed from
mother of pearl.
As an extra feature, each piece
has a beautifully cast silver ferrule of leaves and grapes
mounted on the handle.

Made in 1850 by Francis Higgins of London - one of
the top cutlery makers of his day. Length of knives:
