An attractive round late Victorian silver milk jug. The
body is half-fluted with a vacant oval cartouche. There is
a small fluted band around the centre, surrounded by two
engraved friezes of leaves.
The handle is
decorated with a leaf, and it stands on a round pedestal
base.
I have described this as a milk jug,
because it's a bit large for cream. It's also a bit small
for water or lemonade!
Made in 1900 by Fordham
& Faulkner.
