A very good half-pint Edwardian silver mug, with reeded
decoration around the body.
It's made from a very
good gauge of silver, and feels particularly heavy in the
hand.
This would be perfect for a Christening
gift -- we could engrave a presentation inscription,
initials or a date.
Please note that this is made
of Britannia Standard silver - at 95.8% silver, this is a
higher finesse than sterling which is 92.5%. In recent
years, Britannia silver has been used for more special
items.
Made in 1909 by Elkington & Co. of
London. Height to top of handle: 3 1/2 inches (8.5 cm)
