A superb eight-piece silver tea and coffee service,
comprising large teapot, small teapot, kettle on stand,
coffee pot, hot water pot, milk/cream jug and two sugar
bowls.
Each piece is perfectly plain, and the
teapots, kettle and milk/cream jug are bellied. The coffee
pot and hot water pot are straight-sided.
This
is an excellent twentieth century reproduction of a George
I period service.
Each piece is engraved
with a full coat of arms.
Made in 1936 by William
Comyns of London -- a firm noted for their high-quality
reproductions. Height of kettle: 12 3/4 inches (32.5
cm). Height of coffee pot: 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm).
Height of large teapot: 7 1/2 inches (19 cm).
Overall weight of service: 148 oz (4600 g).
