A lovely Edwardian silver tea caddy.

The body is oblong, and engraved with leaves, flowers and scrolls. The hinged lid is opened by a small silver finial, and it is gilded inside. It stands on four stylised paw feet.

This is an unusual and rather original idea for a gift. It’s an interesting piece, and although it was originally intended to take tea, it would look good with the lid open stuffed with candies, sweets and chocolates.
