A very attractive Victorian cut glass biscuit box, with a silver frame, base and lid.

The glass is cut in a diamond pattern around the body, and it has a star base. The silver frame is totally plain, with a hinged plain ball handle.

It stands on a plain round silver base on four ball feet. The detachable round silver lid is beautifully engraved with leaves and flowers, with a plain ball finial in the centre.

This is a great way to serve biscuits, and the blend of silver and glass looks very sophisticated on the table.

This lovely Victorian cut glass and silver biscuit box was made in 1883 by Martin, Hall & Co.
