A very good William IV silver snuffer tray.

It is shaped oblong, and the border is boldly decorated in the form of scrolls and shells. It is engraved under the base with the name: 'Jane Brownlow'.

This was originally made as a small tray on which to place a pair of scissor-style candle snuffers. These days, it can stand in its own right as a stylish antique ornament.

This delightful William IV silver snuffer tray was made in 1830 by S and C Young.
