A beautiful pair of large five-light silver candelabra.

The bases are shaped square, with a cast band of scrolls, leaves and flowers. The columns are tapered and plain.

Each candlestick has four detachable branches, with a higher central light.

All the silver nozzles (bobaches) are detachable and there is a snuffer (extinguisher) in the form of a flame shown inside each central light.

They are an excellent size, and would look very impressive in the centre of a large dining-room table or sideboard.

This elegant pair of large five-light silver candelabra was made in 1969 and 1973 by Barker Ellis of Birmingham.

Span of branches: 16 inches (40.5 cm)
Height of candlestick only without branches: 13 inches (33 cm)
Base: 6 inches square (15 cm)
