A superb, heavy George III silver fish slice, with a Fiddle pattern handle.

The blade is delicately pierced so the juice is strained away when the fish is served.

The handle is engraved with the crest of Sir John MacNeill, Professor of Engineering at Trinity College, Dublin.

This excellent George III silver fish slice was made in 1819 by Paul Storr of London - - the most celebrated English silversmith from around 1796. His work adorns the Royal Palaces of Europe and museums around the world.
