George III Medium Size Silver Salver with Wavy Bead Border

A very attractive George III medium size silver salver (or waiter).

It is round with a wavy bead border, and stands on three impressive claw and ball feet – a traditional design in English silver.

This is a lovely size which is particularly appropriate for standing a bottle in the centre of a table or sideboard. Because of its age, the salver has a gentle, warm patina, and it would make a lovely gift for somebody who likes English Georgian silver.  The border is a most unusual design.

This George III medium size silver salver was made in 1768 by John Carter of London – a very well-regarded maker.
