Silver Statuette of a Women's Royal Army Corps Corporal

A handmade sterling silver scale model of a Corporal in the Women's Royal Army Corps of the British Army. She is dressed in official uniform.

The WRAC was formed in 1949, and its members initially performed administrative and other support tasks. But later they began to be attached to other Regiments as the role of women increased in importance. Finally, in 1992, the Corps was disbanded, and its members were then fully integrated into the British Army.

The model is 6 inches (15 cm) high.
