*Irish* - Pair of Antique Brightcut Silver Long Serving Spoons - Sheils

An excellent pair of antique Irish silver long serving spoons.

They are beautifully engraved with brightcut decoration down the handles, with a frieze around most of the border and a star at the top. Each is engraved with a contemporary crest on the front of the handle, and the initials I.B on the back of the bowl. They have very sharp silver hallmarks on the backs of the handles.

This is a really good pair of long serving spoons. The brightcut engraving is beautiful, and the bowls are firm and strong. A close-up photograph of the silver hallmarks can be emailed on request.

This pair of antique Irish silver long serving spoons was made in 1792 by John Sheils of Dublin. .
