*Irish* - Set of 5 Antique Cork Plain Silver Tablespoons

A lovely set of five antique Cork silver tablespoons.

They are completely plain, in the Old Irish Point pattern. The ends of the handles turn down. Each is engraved with a contemporary crest of a lion rampant holding a dagger.

This is an excellent set of tablespoons. Each is made from a good gauge of silver and they feel heavy in the hand. The bowls are long and pointed. Each is stamped on the back with the maker's mark GIBSON and STERLING - on one spoon, both are a little rubbed, all the rest are very clear. A separate close-up photograph of the hallmarks can be emailed on request.

This fine set of five antique Cork silver tablespoons was made c1790 by Joseph Gibson.
