Shaped Oval Edwardian Silver Tray with Husk Border

A lovely Edwardian silver tray.

It is shaped oval, with a completely plain surface. It has a most unusual border, with a handle in the form of a husk at either end, and an elongated husk at the top and the bottom. It has no feet, and therefore sits flat on the table.

This is a beautiful tray, and the border is very interesting and innovative. The husk decoration really makes it stand out from the rest, and it is a very good weight. It could comfortably take a three-piece silver teaset or a bottle and six glasses. Alternatively, we could always engrave a presentation inscription, coat of arms, crest or company logo in the centre.
