An elegant Victorian silver chalice and paten.
The silver chalice has a plain round bowl which is gilded (gold-washed) inside, a hexagonal column and a spreading hexagonal based.
It comes with the original plain round silver paten.
Made in 1893 by Thomas Pratt of London.
A silver chalice is an ecclesiastical drinking vessel used during Mass; this one is a Victorian reproduction of a style from around 1500.
