1937 Octagonal Silver Sugar Shaker

An excellent octagonal silver sugar shaker with a pull off lid.

It has a plain and bellied body, which is divided into eight panels. The lid is pierced in various patterns, and it rests on a plain octagonal base.

It feels particularly heavy when you lift it up, and it is a very good height. We find that many people like octagonal patterns today, as they fit in so well with contemporary design. This is a lovely, really well-made piece, and would be most suitable as a gift for use in the centre of the table.
