Edwardian Three-Piece Silver Teaset

A lovely Edwardian three-piece silver teaset, comprising a teapot, cream/milk jug and sugar bowl.

The pieces are round with an embossed frieze of scrolls, leaves and flowers around the body. They have a form of gadroon mount, and each stands on four plain stylised feet.

The teapot has a plain handle with ivory insulators, a hinged lid with a much smaller matching frieze and wooden finial and a very large plain spout. The cream/milk jug and sugar bowl have smaller plain matching handles.

This is a marvellous set, which is based on the designs of the George IV / William IV period in the 1820s and 1830s. The pieces are a very good weight and in excellent condition.

This fine Edwardian three-piece silver teaset was made in 1904 by Carrington & Co. of London.
