George IV Fiddle Pattern Silver Long Serving Spoon

A good George IV silver long serving spoon.

It is in the eternally popular fiddle pattern, with an extra long handle.

It is engraved with a contemporary monogram at the end of the handle.

This is an excellent serving spoon of an unusual length. It's a good weight, and this pattern is so plain it can be used with almost any flatware service. As you can see from the close-up of the hallmarks, the maker's mark is rubbed but legible.

This fine George IV fiddle pattern long serving spoon was made in 1828 by Charles Boyton of London.
