George IV Silver Sugar Sifter

A lovely George IV silver sugar sifter.

It is in the popular Old English pattern, which is totally plain with the end of the handle curving down. The oval bowl is pierced with scrolls. It is engraved with a small contemporary crest.

This is a very pretty sugar sifter spoon, pierced to sprinkle sugar onto fruit. The silver hallmarks are exceptionally clear.

This fine George IV silver sugar sifter was made in 1827 by John, Henry & Charles Lias (a father and two sons) of London.
