*Irish* - Antique Brightcut Silver Long Serving Spoon - Pittar

A marvellous antique Irish silver long serving spoon.

It is in the Old Irish Point pattern, and the top of the handle turns down. It is beautifully engraved with brightcut decoration, including a star at the top, a vacant cartouche and some lovely work around the border. The silver hallmarks are stamped on the back of the handle.

This is a very good, heavy spoon. The brightcutting is in excellent condition, and it has been made to a very high standard. The silver hallmarks are all easy to read, and we can email you a close-up picture of them if you wish.

This fine antique Irish brightcut silver long serving spoon was made in 1781 by John Pittar of Dublin.
