*Irish* - Antique Silver Fiddle Long Serving Spoon

A very good antique Irish silver long serving spoon.

It is in the very popular fiddle pattern which had been introduced to Ireland at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The top of the handle turns down, and it is engraved with a contemporary crest. The back of the bowl has a 'rat-tail', on which are engraved the contemporary initials T S B.

This is an excellent silver spoon, made in a very heavy gauge of silver. It has a long pointed bowl, and the silver hallmarks are very clearly stamped on the back of the handle; we can email a separate close-up picture of them if you wish.

This lovely antique Irish silver fiddle long serving spoon was made in 1825 by William Cummins of Dublin.
