*Irish* - Pair of Antique Cork Plain Silver Tablespoons - Toleken

A very good pair of antique Cork silver tablespoons.

They are totally plain, in the Old Irish pattern, with the ends of the handles turning down. They are both engraved with the crest of a bird holding a key in its beak. On the backs, the initials I L are also engraved.

This is a lovely pair of Irish provincial tablespoons. The marks TOLEKEN and STERLING are clearly stamped on the back of each handle; on one, TOLEKEN has been stamped twice - the second one on top of the first. A separate close-up picture showing the hallmarks can be emailed on request.

This fine pair of antique Cork silver tablespoons was made c1800 by John Toleken.
