*Irish* - Pair of Antique Cork Plain Silver Teaspoons - Gibson

A very good pair of antique Cork silver teaspoons.

They are totally plain, in the traditional Old Irish Point pattern. The tops of the handles turn down, and each is engraved with the crest of a bird holding a key in its mouth.

This is a fine pair of teaspoons, with slightly rounded bowls. Each is very clearly stamped on the back of the handle with the maker's mark GIBSON and STERLING. The marks have been very strongly struck. A separate close-up picture showing these silver hallmarks can be emailed on request.

This fine pair of antique Cork silver teaspoons was made c1790 by Joseph Gibson.
