Large Oblong Silver Coffee Pot

A very good large silver coffee pot.

The body is shaped oblong, with a delightfully engraved frieze of intertwined leaves. It has a small square lid which opens on a flush (hidden) hinge, and a wooden handle and finial. It stands on four ball feet.

This is a very good reproduction of a style of coffee pot first made around 1800. It is a very good size with an excellent capacity, and would therefore make a lovely gift. The engraving is in pristine condition - very clear and sharp.

This excellent large oblong silver coffee pot was made in 1913 by Mappin and Webb of London.
