Pair of George III Round Silver Candlesticks

A very attractive pair of George III round silver candlesticks.

Each has a plain round base with a thread mount; the inner part delicately engraved with concentric patterns.  The stems are plain round and knopped.  The nozzles (bobaches) are detachable. The candlesticks are filled, and have turned green baize underneath the bases.

The candlesticks are a lovely design - very plain, with simple thread borders and just a touch of engraving around each base. The condition is excellent, with no repairs or restoration.  They are filled, and all the hallmarks are clear, on the bases and the nozzles (bobaches) -- see our extra picture.

This fine pair of George III round silver candlesticks was made in 1798 by Robert and David Hennell of London -- a father and son partnership.
