Pair of Silver Bun Peppers

An excellent pair of silver pepper pots.

This design is known as a 'bun pepper', because the pierced, domed lid is low and flat -- rather like the shape of a bun. They are very well made by one of the leading firms of twentieth century silversmiths.

Their plain bodies are bellied and they stand on pedestal bases. The lids simply pull off for filling, and they are a very good weight for their size.

This lovely pair of silver bun peppers was made in 1911 by Arthur and Frank Parsons of Edward Tessier’s shop in London.
