Pair of Victorian Oval Silver Salt Cellars

A fine pair of Victorian oval silver salt cellars.

The bodies are pierced around the tops with triangular motifs, and in the centres with a tureen on each side. Around the piercing is engraving of leaves and geometric shapes.

Each stands on four claw and ball feet. With blue glass liners to protect the silver from the salt.

This is a delightful pair of salts, which would look lovely in the centre of the table. The craftsmanship shines out.

This fine pair of Victorian oval silver salt cellars was made in 1897 by Thomas Hayes of Birmingham.
