Pair of Victorian Silver and Ivory Fish Servers 1887

A lovely pair of Victorian silver fish servers with ivory handles.

The silver blade and tines are slat-pierced, with a garland of leaves and flowers running through the piercing on the fronts. The silver ferrules on the end of the handles are fluted.

The carved ivory handles are fluted at one end.

They come in the original presentation leather case, which is lined with velvet.

This is a wonderful pair of fish servers, with both the silver and the ivory in excellent condition. They have been pierced to allow the fish juice to drain away when serving. They would make a marvellous gift, coming in the original fitted case.

This most attractive pair of Victorian silver and ivory fish servers was made in 1887 by Edward Hutton of London.
